Hop, Burns and Black inspired Michelada

First up, what’s a Michelada? It’s basically a Bloody Mary Beer. So, instead of using Vodka or Gin, you use Beer. Ok, sounds weird but trust us, it’s good, especially on a seriously hot day.

Secondly, who are Hop, Burns and Black? They’re a brilliant independent retailer in East Dulwich/Peckham selling Craft Beer, Hot Sauce, Cider, Wine and Bloody Bens Bloody Mary Mix.

And they’ve inspired a rather special Michelada, using a beer created by a collab between Two Roads and Evil Twin, the Geyser Gose. A twist on a Gose with ingredients sourced from Iceland, including Icelandic Moss, Rye, Herbs, Sea Kelp, Skyr and Birch Smoked Sea Salt. A classic sour/tart beer with a hint of smoke, light lemon colour, dry finish and thirst quenching appeal that goes so well with our Mix.

Ingredients

  • 25ml Bloody Bens Bloody Mary Mix
  • 175ml Tomato Juice
  • Half Can of Geyser Gose
  • Lime

Method

Grab a glass, add two ice cubes and then pour in all the ingredients and squeeze in half a lime and use the other half for garnish. Stir for two seconds. For classic Michelada vibes, you can also do a Chilli Salt Rim but this is totally optional, especially at home where it’s probably a bit of a faff for you/dependent on severity of hangover.
